The Beatles Retail Invasion: A groundbreaking retail celebration was created at Best Buy stores nationwide with simultaneous 12-hour non-stop Beatles Retail Invasions. These celebrations included Beatles themed in-store activities and unprecedented marketing activations.

Extraordinary Retail Consumer Payoff: Negotiated the ultimate Beatles fan “dream” come true. Winners from across the country were flown to London for a first of its kind guided tour of world famous Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded their biggest hits. The tour included an exclusive recording and editing session with engineers of The Beatles re-mastered music and Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer, George Martin. This rare opportunity was meaningful because Abbey Road Studios has never opened its doors to any consumer experience. To cap off the ultimate Beatles fan experience, a world-renowned Beatles expert gave a private tour of Beatles landmarks throughout the city.

Each of the guests recorded their trip with Best Buy exclusive brand Insignia video cameras received as part of the prize. Video content was used to promote the incredible benefits of being a Reward Zone Silver Premier member.

• Abbey Road Studios: Best Buy flew DJs to London to broadcast live from Abbey Road Studios to their markets. They encouraged listeners to visit their local Best Buy for The Beatles celebration and to enter the in-store sweepstakes. They also promoted the incredible experience they were having at the legendary Abbey Road Studios replicating the Grand Prize winners’ experience.

• Participating Best Buy Store: A second team of top on-air personalities broadcast live from Best Buy store Beatles celebrations to connect customers and employees with the London-based Abbey Road Studios simulcast team.

• Top Local Radio Station: A final set of top-tier DJs broadcast live from the in-market station. In addition to moderating communication among all the broadcasts, DJs encouraged local listeners to visit their Best Buy to join The Beatles celebration, connected listeners with questions to the Abbey Road team, and awarded Beatles and Best Buy prizes.
